“If you are not as wealthy as you like, there is something you don’t know.”
— David Wood
It is funny… many people will say, “I will be grateful when I…” and the rest of the sentence is typically something similar to:
1. Have more money
2. Lose xx pounds
3. Get a job
4. Get my health back
5. The kids are in college
6. I meet the person of my dreams
or some spinoff of this list.
All these things are in the future and may not come to fruition! Why not be happy and grateful for what you have now?
When you are grateful for what you have now, you will receive more.
Think about this in concrete real life terms. If every time your brought food to your neighbor and they were grumpy and miserable for you bothering them with the food, would you continue to bring them food? Or, if they were delighted and joyful whenever you delivered food to them, would you bring them more?
The same is true for gratitude! Be grateful NOW for the things so you can be more grateful later for more of it!
Not bad, huh?
