Gratitude and The Platelet Donation

Here is another real time post! Today’s title sounds like a Harry Potter title!

I am sitting / reclining at the New York Blood Bank as I donate Platelets. I love my iPhone and the ability to blog anywhere!

My appointment was at 10:30 am and I was told that 8 people have already donated! How awesome is that?

Donating takes about 2 hours since they ‘Super-Size’ my order and take a triple donation. I have a naturally high platelet count so I let them take whatever they want.

Why do I donate almost every month? I am grateful to be able to help someone who needs it. Of course, I never meet these people, but it is a nice feeling! I guess you can say I am selfish and I donate ’cause it feels nice 🙂 Besides… The staff here is great! They are a wonderful group of people.

OK – I admit… I like the Lorna Doone cookies I get afterwards!
