Your Gratitude Burst – 2010 10 05

“Those who are always complaining about their circumstances find that success continually eludes them. As do those who speak ill of others or who make excuses for their failures.”

– Unknown

I am (once again) reading Jack Canfield’s book, The Success Principles(TM): How to Get from Where You Are to Where You Want to Be

His very first principle is “Take 100% Responsibility for Your Life.” This is a powerful statement, especially because most people think they are entitled to a great life! The real truth of the matter is that YOU are the only person responsible for the quality of the life you live.

It is not based on the economy. Or you job. Or the lack of a job. Or your spouse. Or your children. Or the stars. Or your neighbor. Or the government. It is all up to you.

I can tell you first hand, I used tobe a big blamer. I didn’t think certain things could be caused by me. It was ‘her’ fault. It was ‘them’ who created it. It never could have been me. When I started to take responsibility and ACCEPT it, life changed. I was to take credit, or the blame. I was in control.

And that’s when it all felt better!
