Your Gratitude Burst – 2010 10 04

“As I express my gratitude, I become more deeply aware of it. And the greater my awareness, the greater my need to express it. What happens here is a spiraling ascent, a process of growth in ever expanding circles around a steady center.”

– David Steindl-Rast

Over this past weekend, I got a lot accomplished! I was not really in the mood to do a lot since I had been traveling the prior week. I was looking forward to some down time. As things worked out, I started to do just a little bit of work. Once the first little thing was done, I felt energized. I continued on. I finished some more. And got more energized. And the cycle continued! By Sunday evening, I was tired, but looked back on all the things that I did and was very happy!

And although I got a lot done, I still have more to do (I know I have a few more calls to make and projects to work on – Janae & Therese – I will call you both today!) That is what gets me all invigorated! I know that each day this week I will wake up excited about the possibilities of what I can accomplish! I did not get it all done on Saturday or Sunday, but I have a spiral ascent happening!

Gratitude is just like this! When you feel grateful, you want it to continue. You start examining the people you are with, the things you have, your abilities, and just about everything else! The beauty of this is that it does not matter how much or how little you have! You can be grateful for it. And that will start your spiral.

What can you be grateful for right this moment? Can you get a spiral ascent started?

Spiral outta control today!

Be Well.
Paul.
