Your Gratitude Burst – 2010 11 27

“Be like a postage stamp. Stick to it until you get there.”

— Harvey Mackay

I always feel good when I complete something. Whether it be patching the wall in my office (see the blog for more info if you are curious about that) or something as simple as writing a blog entry, I am grateful for following through on a task I start out to complete.

There are things that I start that do not get completed. I realize after I am into them that at some point it is no longer ‘worth it’ for me to complete. It may be due to the fact that I learned more about the project and I am no longer interested in it; it may be because I am not having a lot of fun. It could also be because it really does not fit into my overall plan.

The key is to determine why you want to abandon a project – it is because it is too much work? It is because it is not going to serve you well? It is a good reason to abandon ship? Or is it a selfish reason?

Wha
tever the case, you should stay the course until you complete it, or decide to leave it.

What have you recently accomplished?

Be Well.
Paul.
