A Nice Get Together

I had a great time this afternoon with friends and family! We haven’t all gotten together like this for quite some time now. We all decided to meet at a Country Club for brunch. People came from close neighborhoods, while others traveled from many states away. The food tasted very good, the service provided excellently, and the table company specular. And the weather… You could not ask for a better day!

It is a shame that this gathering was after a funeral was held. Why do people wait to get together? Why does it take someone to pass away before spending time together has to take place?

We should make it a priority to enjoy our friends and family and spend time with them now.
