I Can Help

I was driving into work this morning and a song sung by Billy Swan came on the radio. He recorded it in the 70s and Elvis even recorded a version. I am talking about the song, “I Can Help.” The first verse goes like this:

If you’ve got a problem, I don’t care what it is
If you need a hand, I can assure you this
I can help, I’ve got two strong arms, I can help
It would sure do me good to do you good,
Let me help.

The rest of the song aside,  the last 2 lines stuck with me. It would sure do me good to do you good, Let me help. I really like that idea! It would do me good and I would somehow get some benefit out of helping you to do good. This reminds me of the great saying that Zig Ziglar would always say, “You can have everything you want, if you will just help enough other people get what they want.”
