I feel gratitude for simple blessings

As I lift my eyes to the skies, I sink deep into a state of gratitude. This posture takes my mind to each blessing that is presented before me. Even simple blessings help me develop the practice of gratitude.

Before I retire to bed each night, I consciously assess how I feel – physically, mentally, and emotionally. I work through any unresolved feelings. It is a good feeling to go through that exercise without identifying a single pain.

When I consider the meals that I have several times each day, I recognize the blessing. I am fortunate that food and other necessities are plentiful in my life.

I acknowledge that I have more than so many others in the world, and I am grateful.

I say thanks each time someone does a kind gesture for me. I know how difficult it is to look beyond one’s challenges and focus on being kind to someone else. My spirit is grateful when another person takes the time to be nice to me.

Experiencing the beauty of living is exhilarating.

As I give thanks for my wonderful life, I am filled with joy and satisfaction. I am overflowing with love and warmth.

Today, quiet time provides the occasion to meditate on the precious blessings that are bestowed on me. My life is golden because there is so much to be grateful for.
