Oh No!

I have been a bit on edge these past couple of days. My beloved Power Mac has taken a turn for the worse. Suffice it to say that I had to drop it off at the Genius Bar at Apple this evening.  While I tend to be optimistic, I am not confident it will make it through the barrage of tests. It has difficulty booting up and working. Not the best attributes to have as a computer.

I know a few things about computers, but this was beyond my expertise. It is a hardware issue, so only time will tell what needs to be done. I am keeping my fingers crossed that it is a minor repair, as opposed to a new computer purchase.

Sometimes, things do not go as planned. Sometimes, we have to do things that we do not want to do. In the long run, I think there is a reason for everything. There is no use fighting it. So, I go with the flow. (I am laughing now as I write this – last night, when I resigned to the fact that it needed professional help, I was not happy, not happy indeed! I went to bed with my iPod and headphones on and just tried to let it all go).

All morning long and all day, I became comfortable with the fact that I needed to get a new computer. When I left Apple this evening, I was a little disappointed that it might only end up costing a fraction to repair. Again, after a while, I regained my senses and I am now going with the flow. There is not much I can do about it until I hear what the Genius has to say about it.

Pray for the Best. Prepare for the worst.
