Gratitude for the Flight of The Bumblebee

It is easy to feel the gratitude when you hear something that you once had tried to achieve in your past being done in a different way. This is especially true when it is an “out of the box” way of doing things.

Let me be a little more concrete with what I am trying to say. Growing up, I played the trumpet. I was pretty good at playing it. One of the musical pieces I worked at was Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov ‘s Flight of the Bumblebee. It is certainly a tough musical work to master! Perhaps you have heard it!

I came across this video and was really surprised! Talk about an “out of the box” way of performing this work!

Ever try anything like this on your own (or with the help of a couple friends)?

Be Well.

It looks like something you would have done with Ric and Brian in college. Thinking back in time even further, did you play it this fast on your trumpet?

It would have ben even better if they tried to do it immediately following the drinking of all the beer originally in the bottles!

    Great Video!

Answer to your question Paul, Pretty cool, it reminded my childhood. If our group get together to play it, we would dance a bit in between instead of running. This music is beautiful and we could even add more rhythm. Thanks Paul.
