Give More And You Will Get More
If there is something that you want, the best way to get it is by giving it away. Sounds like a contradiction, but it is true! Do you want more money? Then give some away!
I do not know how it works, but it does. I have seen this in my own life! One of my side “hobbies” is developing websites for cash and profit 🙂 Because I do a lot of other things, I do not typically market my services. New clients come by word of mouth. I was ‘thinking’ about getting some new clients. Instead, I did some volunteer work by developing a site for local non-profit organization. Within a week, I had a call from a new paying customer!
To sum it all up… I did some volunteer work which makes me feel good for helping out AND I end up with a paying client and more work!

I have experienced a very similar situation. I did some volunteer photography for a local regatta. The pictures appeared on the organization’s website. Within a short time I had been sought out to photograph another event. They were willing to pay!
