You’ll Be Grateful you Gave It Away

I was helping out Jose tonight at his Church. In his Pastor’s office was this framed picture

I thought of all the things to which this can refer – love, joy, laughter, a smile, peace, friendship. So many things rely on sharing and giving. As the old saying goes, “No man is an island,” you have to interact and share with others in order to gain yourself.

What comes to your mind when you think of this? Leave a comment and let me know!

Be Well.

My faith in God is like this! When I keep it to myself it stagnates, but when I share it with others, my faith grows. Faith and joy and smiles – they were made to be shared. Thanks for helping me to see this today Paul!

In 12 Step programs, this slogan is used to remind those in recovery to help others who are struggling. By helping others, we strengthen our own recovery.

And both the Quote of the Day, and the Blog… I share them as well 🙂 Thanks, Melanie!

Very interesting, Nancy! I did not know that was part of the 12 Steps. When you help others, you help yourself. I remember a certain late night many, many years ago I had an argument with my girl friend. I was so ticked off. Driving on the highway, I stopped at distressed vehicle to help a Mom and her daughter. I drove to the next rest area and got them some food while they waited for AAA to come. I felt good the rest of that night. (As for the girlfriend, we eventually remained friends).
